The main coverage
First, it is important to acknowledge the possible coverage. We are going to compare the benefits from LaMal (basis) and additional coverage (LCA)
Number of ultrasounds during the pregnancy :
- LaMal : 2 ultrasounds (except for high-risk pregnancy)
- LCA : 90% of the additional ultrasounds
Childbirth preparation :
- LaMal : one course with CHF 150.- of value
- LCA : 75 % maximum CHF 500.-
Childbirth at hospital :
- LaMal : Swiss public hospitals (possibility to be up to 6 in the room)
- LCA : all private clinics in Switzerland
Choice of the gynecologist :
- LaMal : not possible to choose (gynecologist on duty)
- LCA : Freedom to give birth with your own gynecologist
